SoftLayer engineers act as virtual onsite technicians to facilitate enterprise quality hosting services. Through the use of IPMI 2.0 server technologies, remote management software, out-of-band management, automated OS reloads, and other proprietary SoftLayer methodologies; SoftLayer brings the datacenter and hosting environments to the virtual realm, giving customers complete control over the outsourced environment. In order to have the most versatile and efficient hosting environment possible, Slashsms.com runs databases on servers that are separate from our front end hosting servers. This configuration allows our customers to experience better performance and enjoy a more robust product offering as well as smooth hardware upgrades.
